Rodrigo Peixoto p3049@ulusofona.pt
Rodrigo Peixoto is the Head of the Photography BA at Universidade Lusófona, in Lisbon, Portugal. He teaches several Curricular Units at different BA’s and masters degrees at Universidade Lusófona since 2007. In 2000 he completed his studies in Photography at Ar.Co. In 2005 he participated in the Program Gulbenkian of Creativity and Artistic Creation, 1st Edition – Photography. He holds a Master of Arts Plastics from ESAD.CR (2010). Between 2014 and 2017 he was awarded a scholarship from FCT foundation in the doctoral program “Communication Studies; Technology, Culture and Society”. He is co-founder of the Hélice Association – Photographers who Use the Photography (helice.pt) and Propeller magazine (propellermag.wordpress.com) being also  part of its editorial board. He has been exhibiting his work regularly since 1999. FLAD Fellow in 1999 at SVA, New York. His work is present in the PLMJ, BES Arte, and Fundação EDP collections and in several private collections.  He is a researcher at CICANT since 2015 and at Early Visual Media Lab since 2021 (earlymedialab.ulusofona.pt) with a main focus on Photography and its connections with Communication Sciences and Visual Arts. He as participate in several research projects: “Stereo Visual Culture” projects (stereovisualculture.ulusofona.pt) (PTDC/IVC-COM/5223/2012), ReThink (cicant.ulusofona.pt/research/projects/107-isfp/329-rethink) (H2020 EU 812576), European Stereo Masters: Carlos Relvas (carlosrelvasvr.ulusofona.pt) UID/CCI/04667/2016; currently  he works on the CONGO-VR project (congopanorama.filmeu.eu) (Film.EU RIT) coordinating the photographic team and NERVO – Portuguese Photobook Observatory (nervophotobooks.com) (DGARTES Support) which he co-coordinates with Ângela Ferrreira.
