Paulo Segadães
Paulo Segadães, born in Lisbon in 1977, is a photographer, director of photography, director and musician. Graduated in photography at AR.CO 1999–2002, he worked as a freelance photographer since 2005 after having worked as a photography assistant for several national and foreign photographers. He specialized in fashion and advertising photography and collaborated with publications such as Vogue, GQ, Lux Woman, Bloomberg, Cosmopolitan, FHM, EDP, Novo Banco, Grupo Jerónimo Martins, among others. In 2008, he took a masterclass in cinematography at The Workshops school in Maine, USA, with cinematographer Walter Lassally and took a course in Directing and Cinematography of Advertising Films with Mark Kohl. In the same year he began working as a cinematographer/director on music videos and advertising films. He has collaborated with artists such as Sam The Kid, David Fonseca, Sérgio Godinho, Rodrigo Leão, Sean Riley and Slowriders, among others. Since 2020 he has been a professor in various photography disciplines such as fashion photography, advertising photography, product photography, among others, in various institutions. At the same time, Paulo Segadães is a musician and his projects The Vicious Five 2003–2009 and The Legendary Tigerman 2013–2019 stand out, where he worked as a drummer. In 2024 he published his first photography book “Vrindavan”.
