He is a visual artist, independent curator, teacher and cultural mediator based in Lisbon. He has a PhD in Media Arts, Lusófona University. Degree in Fine Arts at ESAD.CR, Erasmus Scholarship, School of Fine Arts of Salamanca, Spain. Postgraduate in Art Theory at Faculty of Fine Arts, Lisbon University. He is an assistant professor in the Department of Cinema and Media Arts at the Lusófona University of Lisbon, where he also co-directs the Master's Degree in Photography and the Bachelor's Degree in Photography. He collaborates as a researcher at CICANT. He is a guest lecturer at ESAD.CR. He has been invited to and organized conferences, courses and talk shows in Portugal and recently in Poland. He collaborates with the Mediation/Education Service of the Museum of Contemporary Art - CCB.  He has been exhibiting individually and in group shows regularly since 1999. Her recent projects include: “Notas sobre empatia e alteridade” at Centro Cultural de Lagos, “AWARE” at BAG - Banco das Artes Galeria, Leiria, “Os Olhos não estão aqui” at Galeria Trem in Faro and “WAIT” at Museu Coleção Berardo, CCB, Lisbon. His artistic work explores the various possibilities of the image, through video, photography, installation and drawing. His artistic projects, as well as her curatorial projects, seek to expand and amplify ideas/concepts such as: tension, effort and suspension, error and failure, weight and lightness, achievement and frustration. His research often focuses on the physical notion of the body/machine, which can be animal, mechanical, industrial or objects.
