The week starts from the desire to look more closely at what usually goes unnoticed. The theme of invisible communities invites us to rethink the role of design as a practice capable of revealing presences, gestures, and relationships that are rarely seen or recognized.
More than making the invisible visible, it is important to understand how certain perspectives and systems determine what appears and what is erased. Design is understood as a practice of care and attention — a way of recognizing and giving space to what exists, without dominating or reducing it.
"Around the base" proposes the construction of a common territory, where thinking and creating become shared gestures.
It is, above all, an invitation to use design as a way of being in the world with greater attention, empathy, and awareness.
