Francisco Laranjo é designer gráfico e investigador. Doutoramento em crítica e métodos de design (University of the Arts London) e Mestrado em Comunicação Visual (Royal College of Art). Tem publicado no Design Observer, Eye, Creative Review, Grafik, Eye on Design, Público, entre outros. Tem sido professor visitante e convidado em instituições tais como o Sandberg Institute (Países Baixos), CalArts (EUA), Royal College of Art, London College of Communication, Kingston University (Reino Unido), Zürich University of the Arts, University of the Arts Bern (Suíça) e orador na University of Applied Arts Vienna (Áustria), University of South Australia (Austrália), University of the Arts Split (Croácia), BAU (Espanha), Universidade do Porto, Universidade de Lisboa, Universidade de Coimbra, entre outras. É Professor Convidado na Central Saint Martins, editor da revista de crítica de design Modes of Criticism, Co-director do Shared Institute, Professor Assistente na Universidade Lusófona e Director do Center for Other Worlds.

Francisco has a PhD in design methods and criticism from the University of the Arts London and an MA in Visual Communication from the Royal College of Art. He is an Associate Lecturer at Central Saint Martins, editor of the journal Modes of Criticism, co-director of the Shared Institute, Assistant Professor at Lusófona University and director of the Center for Other Worlds.
