Workshops & Facilities
DE L LI Office The DELLI Office is our open workspace, where everything happens. It is central space for our programme, working as an hybrid educational, production, debate and sharing model. A variety of tools and means of production are available to the students during and beyond the context of the courses: 3D printing, laser cutting, plotters, risography, digital copiers which cohabit with multiple printing techniques such as screen-printing, fax machines, mimeography, or impact printing, as well as letterpress. The majority of our courses are taught here, and it is also the space where parallel programmes are run, including those which are student-organised, such as cinema and reading sessions.

Madalena Mourinha’s Clowns for DELLI
Madalena Mourinha, our former student, in collaboration with the DELLI communications team, created a set of three magnificent illustrations that now come to life in our tote bag collection. The brief, set by our professor, designer Marta Guerra Belo, was based on the work of Bruno Munari, originally published in Domus No. 202 (October 1944): “One comes home tired from working all day and finds an uncomfortable chair.” Coming soon to the DELLI PRESS website.
Delli and Delli Press, in partnership with the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation’s Art Library, bring together experimental graphic research and artistic collections through editorial projects and a publishing laboratory that foster innovation, critical thinking, and collaborative practices.

PENSÃO: Artist Residencies (DE L LI)DELLI is pleased to introduce PENSÃO, its new artist residency programme.
Open to students, faculty and invited guests, the programme is designed to support self-initiated projects that explore personal interests and forms of communication. We aim to invite students who demonstrate strong talent and full commitment to their learning, offering them time and space to develop their work, with the support of mentors or collaborators who can assist in the creative process. Faculty members and guests are also welcome to participate in the residencies, either through individual or collaborative projects. Residents and their projects may be supported by artists, designers, institutions or companies who act as collaborators, mentors or sponsors. The work developed may be presented in any format proposed by the author — including exhibitions, performances, actions or digital media — and will be shared on a dedicated website created for the residency programme: https://pensao-delli.pt

Cooking Method for the Cycle of Water, 2024Project website: cookingmethodforthecycleofwater.cargo.siteSetting the table is an act of provocation. We incite the other, the body, the thought and the senses, words or silence. Like a performance, it opens up space for dialogue. Like a ritual, it brings us together or pushes us apart. This project is part of the Project course’s activities with the second year students of the Communication Design degree, supervised by Professor Marta Guerra Belo.
The pedagogical and creative project Counter-Masks: Weaving Dialogues supervised by our teacher Rita Carvalho was awarded the Fazer+ Prize (Best Innovative Pedagogical Practice). The counter-masks were exhibited in the Duas verdades, uma mentira exhibition at the P31 gallery in Lisbon (2024).
